Rustic Farmhouse

Where Greek Village meets Rustic Modern San Juan- This one-level U-shaped residence, once outdated was transformed into a soulful retreat that blends the rustic ease of San Juan with the timeless spirit of a Greek farmhouse. The heart of the design is its seamless indoor-outdoor connection: a set of triple black Pella French doors dissolves the boundary between living spaces and the courtyard, evoking the rhythm of Greek village life — simple, communal, and deeply connected to nature. At the private entrance, a 100-year-old olive tree greets visitors, its gnarled form a living symbol of heritage and longevity. From the front porch, a translucent entry door teases a glimpse of what lies within: a warm, organic interior with a rustic stone fireplace floor to ceiling, and yiayia’s kitchen that flows into the outdoor living space we call the Greek-escape co-existing with wandering chickens and a home rooted in authenticity and simplicity.

"After visiting an open house one day, Thalia called and told us she’d found the perfect house for us.  She knew exactly what we were looking for.  But this house would require a significant renovation.  Thalia not only had the vision and creativity to design our dream home — incorporating both the rustic, Mediterranean elements we loved with the SoCal vibe we’ve come to appreciate.  She also possessed the skill and patience to project manage the entire operation — scheduling and collaborating with contractors — ensuring that every last detail was exactly how she envisioned it.  The end result truly surpassed all our expectations.  Thanks to her, we are living in our dream home!"  - Client
